Day 5 Wrap-Up

Day 5 at the National Men’s Senior B Lacrosse Championship features the four final round-robin matches:

  • The Snake Island Muskies [TNSLL] (3-2) blasted the Standing Buffalo Fighting Sioux [PGLL] (1-5) 22-9. The Muskies' Skkylar Thomas (3G, 7A) led scoring, with Nick Damude and Kobi Johnson combining to stop 26 of 35 shots.
  • The Edmonton Miners [RMLL] (4-1-1) and the Six Nations Rivermen [OSL] (2-3-1) played to an 11-11 draw. The Rivermen's Greg Elijah-Brown led all scoring with 4 goals and 3 assists. The Rivermen's Drew Hutchinson stopped 37 of 48 shots and the Miners' Matt Hiebert stopped 25 of 36 shots.
  • The Victoria Shamrocks [WCSLA] (0-5-1) ended the tournament on a high note with an 8-8 tie with the Allegany Arrows [CALL] (4-1-1). The Arrows' Joshua Becker led scoring with 3 goals and 4 assists and goalie Gowah Abrahms stopped 44 of 52 shots while Victoria counterpart Cody Cook stopped 39 of 47 shots.
  • Host Ladner Pioneers (5-1) locked up top seed in the tournament with a 5-3 win over the Muskies (3-3). The Pioneers' Mitch Jones (2G, 1A) and Spencer Bromley (3A) led scoring, with Christian Del Bianco picking up his 5th win stopping 38 of 41 shots.
