Semi-Finals Results
Day 6 at the National Men’s Senior B Lacrosse Championship featured two semi-final matches:
- It took a powerplay goal in overtime by Haiden Dickson for the two-time reigning champion Ladner Pioneers (6-1) to punch their ticket to the Gold Medal game with a 10-9 win over the Snake Island Muskies [TNSLL] (3-4). Ladner, led by Mitch Jones (2G, 6A) and Christian Del Bianco (39 saves on 48 shots), outshot Snake Island 70-48 and rebounded from a buzzer-beater by Winter Rivera with 2 seconds left in regulation to try for a 3-peat Saturday afternoon.
- The Edmonton Miners [RMLL] (5-1-1) took on the Allegany Arrows [CALL] (4-2-1) in the second semi-final and join the Pioneers in the final after an 11-8 decision. The Miners never trailed despite being outshot 52-43, with Cam MacLeod stopping 35 shots. Dean Fairall (1G, 6A) led all scorers.
The Arrows will face the Muskies in the Bronze Medal game Saturday at 3:00pm, followed by the Miners and the Pioneers in the Gold Medal game at 6:00pm.
